Cheesecake with Cherries (Zapekanka)
Cheesecake without base in a mug
Yes, yes, yes, it is another kind of cheesecake and if you didn´t know it yet, I LOVE cheesecake! This time it is a Russian recipe that I know from my childhood. My mom used to make it for us very often with some raisins and then we ate it always with some sour cream on top. YUM!

I like to experiment with recipes and make them my way. Traditionally this recipe is made with raisins or other similar dry fruits, but if you ask me, there are no limits to what you can add to this one. Berries, fruits or chocolate. And every time a new delicious dessert is born.

Sometimes however recipes are born when you have some leftover cherries and you decide to try out and make a cheesecake in a mug with cherries. I don´t know about you, but I love portioned desserts. Everyone gets their special portion. Oh, and they are great for lunch and dinner parties.

Top the cheesecakes with some sour cream, yogurt or cream and dig in.
