RECIPE

Homemade Mulled Wine

Something Delicious to keep You Warm

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Organic orange

  • 1 Organic lemon

  • 1 Organic mandarin

  • 1 Organic apple

  • 750ml Red wine

  • 2 Cinnamon sticks

  • 4-5 Star Anis "Stars"

  • 4-5 Cloves

  • 50g Sugar

  • Handful of dry cranberries

DIRECTIONS

  1. Wash the fruits well. Slice orange, lemon and mandarin. Core the apple and cut into fours and then half those fours to get 8 pieces.

  2. Pour the wine into a medium pot (about 3 liters). Add cinnamon sticks, star anis, cloves, sugar and cranberries.

  3. Add all of the fruits into the pot. Squeeze the juices from orange, lemon and mandarin while adding them into the wine.

  4. Warm the wine over medium heat for 10 minutes. Be careful so that the mixture doesn´t boil.

  5. Remove from heat and allow to rest for an hour.

  6. Remove the fruits and give the citrus fruits a good squeeze again to get the juices out. If you don´t like it very sour, then don´t squeeze the lemon at this point.

  7. Serve the mulled wine warm. Decorate with fruit if you wish.
