RECIPE
Homemade Mulled Wine
Something Delicious to keep You Warm
INGREDIENTS

-
1 Organic orange
-
1 Organic lemon
-
1 Organic mandarin
-
1 Organic apple

-
750ml Red wine
-
2 Cinnamon sticks
-
4-5 Star Anis "Stars"
-
4-5 Cloves
-
50g Sugar
-
Handful of dry cranberries

DIRECTIONS

-
Wash the fruits well. Slice orange, lemon and mandarin. Core the apple and cut into fours and then half those fours to get 8 pieces.
-
Pour the wine into a medium pot (about 3 liters). Add cinnamon sticks, star anis, cloves, sugar and cranberries.
-
Add all of the fruits into the pot. Squeeze the juices from orange, lemon and mandarin while adding them into the wine.
-
Warm the wine over medium heat for 10 minutes. Be careful so that the mixture doesn´t boil.
-
Remove from heat and allow to rest for an hour.
-
Remove the fruits and give the citrus fruits a good squeeze again to get the juices out. If you don´t like it very sour, then don´t squeeze the lemon at this point.
-
Serve the mulled wine warm. Decorate with fruit if you wish.
